How We Work
Course designs use demonstration, small group activities, role-play, lecture and reflection/discussion. Participants receive written course materials and learning aids that suggest immediate application and provide "just-in-time" learning.
A common mistake made by most facilitators stems from providing brilliant theories but neglecting to focus on their use (or reasons they can't be used) by participants. It doesn't matter how wise or clever our tools might be if participants sit there with an objection or confusion about how to apply it. We draw out and then stay with what is real and seemingly most useful to participants. Even if the theory seems correct and rational to us, each organization is unique and "one size fits all" training is too easily dismissed or ignored. Instead, we use humor, metaphor, and hard facts to sidestep resistance and bring forward participant's examples and experience to deliver exceptional training value. Facilitators that use collaboration and persuasion get better results than those who insist on one right answer (theirs).

Organizational Development services focus on establishing "new traditions" of open and direct communication at the important interfaces within organizations, with customers, and with the outside world.
To achieve this, we assess and work with the immediate issues and often address underlying root causes of barriers to change, quality, communication and customer satisfaction.
Coaching services provide one-on-one attention and can pull from a variety of tools and techniques to inspire peak performance, including
1. Instrumented Coaching: Leadership and Conflict Management style instrument, Meyers-Briggs personality style instrument, FIRO-B interpersonal behavior assessment, and others, provide fast and objective feedback for coming from strengths or, if necessary, accelerating learning to make important changes over time.
2. Observation: Shadow coaching (the coach remains 100% in the background), or observational coaching (coach attends meetings or spends time observing the client in action) both provide powerful ways to get at "what is" and increase desired results.
3. Tele-coaching: Consistent focus of attention is one of the keys to success with professionals at all levels. A regular, weekly or semi-weekly 30-60 minute phone conversation offers a cost-effective and convenient way to achieve that focus while remaining relaxed and open to learning from any challenges or setbacks.
